BPP: Who are you? And who you really are?

Irina Drobkova: My name is Irina Drobkova. I live in Russia . I'm a wife, mother and doll artist, and not one of these three hypostases can not be put on the first place, everything is equally important for me.

BPP: If you could say something important to others who were listening, what would you tell them?
Irina Drobkova: I'm afraid the pathetic words, true words and feelings are always simple and comprehensible to all, regardless of faith or nationality, so let my dolls speak for me,  I hope they can do it better. Dostoevsky said that beauty will save the world, I agree with him, and therefore I try to live into the world of beauty.

BPP: What is your true dream, the one that keeps you up at night and if one day it were to come true you would feel peace and calmness in your heart?
Irina DrobkovaI have only one dream to have my loved ones, all was well,if this is so,then my soul the peace and quiet. And if the other people all would be just as good, then it is a real happiness.

BPP: How is life currently for the people in your country and what would you wish for them and for the planet at large?
Irina Drobkova: I think that every country has its own difficulties and Russia has its own too. I'm very worried about what is happening in the world. The new is good ,but we should not forget about the old, that have been accumulated by the people who lived before us. It seems to me that now all over the world people lose their roots and the tree without roots is condemned to die,in my opinion, people are condemned to die too. I think that we need to stop chasing the outside worldl and think more about the inner world, which is alll about our soul.

BPP: If you had a chance to be a child again would you choose the same life?
Irina Drobkova: No,I wouldn't change anything. All that was in my life has made me the person I am and if I have decide to live a different life, I would have  been a completely different person.

BPP: What was the exact moment that you realized what you wanted to do with your life? How did you feel at this very moment?
Irina Dropkova: Ten years ago, when I first met with the art of dolls, it was a real apocalypsis for me. I undestood that I wanted to do nothing else but this. Doll's art requires many skills and it's never a boring job, but the most important thing in this work for me, is the mind game. Dolls are wonderful creatures, they are created in your imagination first and after according to our desires they took shape and form but it  depends on the creator what kind of qualities he/she will give to them. And this is always a very interesting process.

BPP: Who are you? And who you really are?

BPP: If you could say something important to others who were listening, what would you tell them?
BPP: What is your true dream, the one that keeps you up at night and if one day it were to come true you would feel peace and calmness in your heart?

BPP: How is life currently for the people in your country and what would you wish for them and for the planet at large?

BPP: If you had a chance to be a child again would you choose the same life?

BPP: What was the exact moment that you realized what you wanted to do with your life? How did you feel at this very moment?

BPP: Would you like to tell us something we didn’t ask until now?

The drawing was made by Anna, Irina's daughter when she was 7 years old and she kindly offered it for her mother's interview at BPP.
