BPP: Who are you?  And who you really are?

Bethany Marchman: My name is Bethany Marchman and I am an oil painter living in the U.S. (Atlanta, Georgia.)
I am a person that aspires to someday become deserving of the many blessings in my life. I suppose I am a work in progress and always will be.

BPP: If you could say something important to others who were listening, what would you tell them?

Bethany Marchman: Please remember to marvel at the wonders of this world and this life. Don’t take things for granted.

BPP:  What is your true dream, the one that keeps you up at night and if one day it were to come true you would feel peace and calmness in your heart?

Bethany Marchman: I dream that we would all be kind to each other- kind to animals -and to the earth.

BPP: How is life currently for the people in your country and what would you wish for them and for the planet at large?

Bethany Marchman: America is having a more difficult time financially lately than in the recent past, but we still have many blessings and privileges. We are making some important and positive social changes that reflect open-mindedness and acceptance. I wish for us all to stay vigilant of how we treat the earth and each other.

BPP: If you had a chance to be a child again would you choose the same life?

Bethany Marchman: Yes. I would choose my same family, my same home, all of it exactly the same. I have regrets and would do certain things differently, perhaps, but I love my life and had a wonderful childhood. (If I had a choice in matters, I probably would have stayed a child forever.)

"Vaudeville" oil on canvas

BPP:  What was the exact moment that you realized what you wanted to do with your life?  How did you feel at this very moment?

Bethany Marchman: I still don’t know! Ha-ha!
As far as making art goes, that is a part of who I am and always have been. I know I will always paint/ make things whether professionally or for myself. I am grateful for that desire to create. My sense of self is completely wrapped up in it as well as my connection with the world around me.

BPP: Would you like to tell us something we didn’t ask until now?

Bethany Marchman: I just want to express my utter amazement with the internet as a tool to connect like-minded people from around the world. How incredibly awesome is that?!!
