    Kevin Titzer's "Bee Beard"

BPP: Who are you?  And who you really are?

Kevin Titzer: My name is Kevin Titzer and I'm a sculptor from the United States.
I currently reside in Quebec. Who am I really you ask?  I guess someone who really likes to eat pie. Can you recommend any good bakeries in Athens?

BPP: If you could say something important to others who were listening, what would you tell them?

Kevin Titzer: I'm not really sure. It's such a rarity in this day and age that people are listening. I think it's just the way things are now.
People are much more wrapped up in their own lives and not very concerned with much outside of it.
They would rather text on their phone than actually have a conversation with a real person.
Things have just slowly moved in that direction and it's sad and frustrating.

BPP:  What is your true dream, the one that keeps you up at night and if one day it were to come true you would feel peace and calmness in your heart?

Kevin Titzer: It's fear and anxiety that keeps me up at night, not a true dream. Thinking about a true dream would make me sleep like a baby.
Most true dreams are grand and unattainable by design. They're the things that keep us motivated and to aspire to.
Granted, I think you'll always accomplish more when you aim high trying to reach a dream, but it's the reaching and striving that counts more.
If your only focused on one fixed point in front of you all of your life, it's easy to miss everything on the periphery, and that's where all the interesting stuff is.
Everything else is a "be careful what you ask for" situation to me.

BPP: How is life currently for the people in your country and what would you wish for them and for the planet at large?

Kevin Titzer: How is life in my country? Well, not that different than much of the rest of the world thanks to the banks. High unemployment, massive debt, and bad economy in general.
People are very divided politicly more than ever, yet do little to really change anything. Everyone wants to talk and no one wants to listen.
What do I wish for the planet at large? Please try to drop less bombs on each other. At least try it for a change of pace.
Who knows, you might like it.

BPP: If you had a chance to be a child again would you choose the same life?

Kevin Titzer: No.

BPP:  What was the exact moment that you realized what you wanted to do with your life?  How did you feel at this very moment?

Kevin Titzer: I'll have to let you know when that moment happens. It's a rare gift to know what you want to do with your life.
I'm just fumbling through day after day hoping I'm doing the right thing.

BPP: Would you like to tell us something we didn’t ask until now?

Kevin Titzer:  I sincerely hope things are getting better in Greece. Good luck to you.
