BPP: Who are you? And who you really are?

Cheryl Fornengo: I am a woman first of all, a mother, a wife, a grandmother and an artist. I am a sculptor and doll maker. I also love to make crafts. I am a human being that enjoys creating different things. I get pleasure in bringing my dolls to life.

BPP: If you could say something important to others who were listening, what would you tell them?

Cheryl FornengoFollow your passion. Be true to yourself in all you do. Be yourself. Look inside you for your own creative pulses and try not to copy others.
Others may inspire you and that's great, but be your own person. Your passion and love for what you do will reflect in your work. Most of all, don't be too hard on yourself when it comes to your art.

BPP: What is your true dream, the one that keeps you up at night and if one day it were to come true you would feel peace and calmness in your heart?

Cheryl Fornengo: I appreciate everything I have in my life, so I don't want for much.
I wish To have peace and love all over the world, now that  would be a blessing. I strive to be myself and have appreciation for everything I do and create, but most of all, I would love to keep doing what I'm doing.

BPP: How is life currently for the people in your country and what would you wish for them and for the planet at large?

Cheryl Fornengo: The area I live in, in the United States, most people are just trying to survive the economy. The jobs are very scarce.
I wish for everyone to do what they love to do and to be able to have a job to make a living. I wish everyone could be happy and at peace with themselves.

BPP: If you had a chance to be a child again would you choose the same life?

Cheryl FornengoYes, I would definitely choose the same life, the same siblings and the same parents. The life I had shaped the person I am today. The things I had to go through made it better as I grew older to cope with and to appreciate things and situations.

BPP: What was the exact moment that you realized what you wanted to do with your life? How did you feel at this very moment?

Cheryl Fornengo: I didn't really have an exact moment. I had done things that led up to what I'm doing now. When I was 13 years old I sketched faces and things. Then I graduated to painting portraits, Faces fascinated me. I liked to sew and I really loved dolls,

So I decided to try making dolls from clay. Then, I started getting excited about making them. I would practice all the time, everyday I would learn more and I would get lost in the making of them. I thought about it every minute of the day.
The passion was there. I am still learning things every time I make one.

BPP: Would you like to tell us something we didn’t ask until now?

Cheryl Fornengo: Everyone is here for a purpose. Your job is to find out what your purpose is. Life is very short and we cannot dwell on unimportant things. Don't worry about things you cannot do anything about. Be happy!
