Stefanos Vlasakakis: "I want to paint the planet!"

BPP: Identity: Who you are? And who you really are?

Stefanos Vlasakakis: Hi, my name is Stefanos Vlasakakis, I am 32 years old, from Greece. I am working in an office (not related in art) and sometimes as an external cooperator/illustrator in some companies.
Who I really am? An illustrator, a sketcher, an artist, a humanist…I like to “smell”  and feel Nature which inspires me to draw figures, knights, fairies, castles, strange machines and worlds, and generally whatever my mind creates…

BPP: If you could say something important you've learned all these years of your life, to the other people and they were able to listen to you, what would you like to tell them?

Stefanos Vlasakakis: I would tell them: “If you have a special dream/purpose try to accomplish it no matter how hard it seems; the “journey” for this purpose maybe is difficult but is worthy at the end.”

BPP: What is your real dream, the one that keeps you awake at nights and if one day it will come true, you will feel your heart calm and peacefull?

Stefanos Vlasakakis: Like an artist, like a dreamer I can never stop creating and dreaming so I am pretty sure that even though I might hit my target, I would have already dreamt something else…

BPP: How is life for the people in your country today? What do you wish to happen to them and to the people of this planet at large?

Stefanos Vlasakakis: Here, in Greece, things are extremely difficult, many people losing their job or/and living in hard conditions. I know the problem is global so I wish…no, I WANT governments to find the solution, I know they can; and if they really try, we-the people-will help them. But everyone of us must believe in our power and be an energetic part of society not just waiting the results.

BPP: If you had the chance to be a child again, will you choose to do the same life you do?

Stefanos Vlasakakis:There are some things I had done which I could have done in a different way, maybe better, who knows? But this is my life and I would never change it, my mistakes, my lessons, my path…

BPP: Which exactly was the moment you understood what you want to do in your life? How did you feel at this very moment?

Stefanos VlasakakisSince I remember myself I was holding a pencil and a paper, drawing… and drawing… so, apparently I always like to be involved in whatever has to do with Art; that fills me with joy.

BPP: Something yours: Do you want to tell us something we didn't ask you until now?

Stefanos Vlasakakis: The only thing I want to say is that I will never stop creating and evolving my abilities.
