Lauren Marx:"Don’t give a crap what others say you should do. Create what you want and pursue whatever it is that interests you"
BPP: Who are you? And who you really are?
Lauren Marx: My name is Lauren Marx. I am
currently a student at Webster University in Saint Louis. I would say that who
I am really is an animal nerd, science nerd, bone collector, nature lover,
crazy cat lady and an artist.

BPP: If you could say something important to
others who were listening, what would you tell them?
Lauren Marx: Don’t give a crap what others say you should do. Create what you want
and pursue whatever it is that interests you.
BPP: What
is your true dream, the one that keeps you up at night and if one day it were
to come true you would feel peace and calmness in your heart?
Lauren Marx: Honestly, my true dream is to
become a successful artist and to attend a great graduate school. It would be
awesome to not have to have a day day job.

BPP: How is life currently for the people in
your country and what would you wish for them and for the planet at large?
Lauren Marx:Life for the people of my
country is, well, quite average. I really hope that some of the people in my
country would stop taking steps backwards socially. I wish, for both them and
the planet, that people can stop quibbling over each other and to stop being so
selfish.

BPP: If you had a chance to be a child again
would you choose the same life?
Lauren Marx:I would! At least for the
beginning of my childhood where I spent several years living with my
grandparents. The whole house was decorated in Lenox birds and squrriels,
plants, books, and my grandfather’s artwork. If I had never lived there, who
knows what I would be doing right now.

BPP: What
was the exact moment that you realized what you wanted to do with your
life? How did you feel at this very
moment?
Lauren Marx: Around May of last year, I
finally felt I was creating artwork that I was truly proud of. Feeling like I
could actually make art that I enjoyed making, was a huge relief.

BPP: Would you like to tell us something we
didn’t ask until now?
Lauren Marx: Well, I have only begun my
artistic journey, so keep an eye out for my work!
