BPP: If you could say something important to others who were listening, what would you tell them?

Neil Ennui: Find your own way through life. What works for others may not work for you, so be true to yourself and don't be swayed by perceptions of what the world expects you to be. Be kind to yourself don't work yourself into an early grave, Be good to your fellow man, have consideration of those around you, be selfless and a gentleman.

BPP:  What is your true dream, the one that keeps you up at night and if one day it were to come true you would feel peace and calmness in your heart?

Neil Ennui: To buy a property in the countryside with land enough to grow food to keep the people close to me fed, providing its own power and independent of the taxman. I'd also like to build a big workshop on site that i can spend my days tinkering in creating art and objects, then just spend my days happy with my amazing partner, have a family and get on with our thing out of the way of the noisy chaos of modern life.

BPP: How is life currently for the people in your country and what would you wish for them and for the planet at large?

Neil Ennui:Bleak. The country has few jobs and income disparity is huge. The youth and a lot of the population have hated our government for years, It isn't democracy at all, we vote in the least objectionable rich white guy who is so detached from what reality is for most people it is impossible for them to do anything of worth. Then they get 4 years to enact whatever ridiculous laws they want, we don't get a say in any of it, that doesn't scream democratic proccess to me. The poor economy and lack of jobs have created strange problems, being unemployed is kind of common now and the youth don't seem to have anything to do or options available to them, drinking and taking drugs have become really excessive in England.

I hope that ultimately we can get a government in place that is truly representative of its people and understands the problems, not just in the banks or economic centres but also at street level. I hope we switch to Green energy before things start melting and burning and i hope we can all learn to be a little better to each other, more tolerant and less selfish.

BPP: If you had a chance to be a child again would you choose the same life?

Neil Ennui: I don't really think much of life is a choice. My family will always be my family, and each decision has brought me to a specific point and I'm pretty happy where I am. I gave up on regrets and wishing to change things it seemed futile and if i couldn't learn to ignore unchangeable regrets my life was going to be pretty miserable.
I think i was quite an insecure youth, and acted out in my own ways, worried about others perception of me and tried to play up to what i thought people wanted of me. I think if i could go back and change anything, I'd just tell young me, not to worry so much, to be myself and people will like you even more for just being you.

BPP:  What was the exact moment that you realised what you wanted to do with your life?  How did you feel at this very moment?

Neil Ennui: I don't think there was a moment really, I've never stopped doodling since a crayon was put in my hand as a child. From 3 years old i could usually be found in a quiet corner scribbling away, happy and content. Nothing else ever seemed much of an option, when i was 6 i thought i may have wanted to be a fighter pilot, i don't like heights or war particularly so i guess sticking to art was the right choice. When i was 15 i was thinking about architecture, but i guess i wanted to just do something big and awesome looking, and i could do that with art so there was no need to be as specific as architecture. A Career as an artist/designer tends to have a lot of moments and emotional roller coasters swaying from joy and peace to pure despair, when you learn to roll with it though its amazing.
