Kristen Wood: "No act is too small. We can turn things around. There is power in the people, and the future does indeed lie in our hands".

BPP: Identity: Who you are? And who you really are?

Kristen Wood: My name is Kristen. I am 27 years old & I am a photographer/visual artist that currently resides in the U.S.

Who I really am? A dreamer with a penchant for wanderlust. An ever-changing seeker of truth with an unquenchable curiosity for the world around us, for what we perceive as reality. I see so much beauty, so much potential, so much depth, light & love in this world, and I share my visions in the hopes it inspires others to see the same.

BPP: If you could say something important you've learned all these years of your life, to the other people and they were able to listen to you, what would you like to tell them?

Kristen Wood: Never stop growing, questioning, challenging, sharing, dreaming, believing.

So many of us have become complacent, we've settled and we've settled for far less than we deserve and/or are capable of. I encourage others to step outside of the box, drown out the noise that surrounds and follow their hearts. This is your life, make it yours. Make it special.

As you look within & make positive changes within yourself...you inadvertently affect the whole.

Have faith in yourself, love for yourself, your fellow mankind and the ground you walk upon, courage to see through the illusions that bind....take chances, face fears and the world will respond favorably. Mark my words.

BPP: What is your real dream, the one that keeps you awake at nights and if one day it will come true, you will feel your heart calm and peacefull?

Kristen Wood: My real dream is that we will one day soon wake up out of our harmful conditionings, outmoded social constructs and general false complacency and look at the planet & each other with fresh eyes. I dream that we realize our great responsibility for this planet we call home, the one that sustains us, that gives us all we have, all we know, and we makes changes, no matter how small, within & outside of ourselves so as to affect the planet & its inhabitants for the better.

We have the power to turn things around, to makes changes for the positive, for all, for the future of Mother Earth. It is a time to step up and be courageous and shine our light for others to see....for others to follow. And above all, love one another!

BPP: How is life for the people in your country today? What do you wish to happen to them and to the people of this planet at large?

Kristen Wood: Life for the people in my home country is currently on a great threshold. The economic gaps and disconnection amongst people are growing larger and larger and it is only a matter of time before something happens...for better or for worse. There is a great divide and it is becoming ever more clear for all to see what doesn't work, what hasn't been working, and what has to change. It is time to peer into the illusion of separateness & take responsibility, for the sooner we realize we're all in this together, the better.

And the best part of all? As co-creators, we have a choice. That is why it is of the upmost importance that we, as a global entity, take a stand, reach out and stop settling for what we've been fed. It is a time to have courage to see things for what they truly are and not settle for any less than we as human beings know is possible. No act is too small. We can turn things around. There is power in the people, and the future does indeed lie in our hands.

BPP: If you had the chance to be a child again, will you choose to do the same life you do?

Kristen Wood: Undoubtedly yes. I would not be who I am today had I not survived the many challenges amongst my path. For every hardship I've endured, I can look back & be incredibly grateful for what it taught me. And for every beautiful moment, it kept me striving for more. Nothing is in vain...it all leads to who you are to become. For without the darkness, I would not know the light. And there is something to be said for truly letting go...

BPP: Which exactly was the moment you understood what you want to do in your life? How did you feel at this very moment?

Kristen Wood:The moment I realized I wasn't living a life I wanted! The moment I started questioning everything and realized I was becoming a person and living a life that wasn't me...a life created by fear, the false concept of security, social constructs and other peoples perceptions & expectations.

It was in that moment I decided to take my power back and courageously move forward on a journey of self, on a journey of truth...and in going within, I found the whole universe.

BPP: Something yours: Do you want to tell us something we didn't ask you until now?

Kristen Wood: I simply want to thank you for allowing me to be a part of this beautiful project. It is incredibly inspiring and it is people like you that make a difference in this world, by having the courage to spread the love!

Kristen Wood: Einstein sums it up best for me:

"A human being is a part of the whole, called by us "Universe," a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.

Kristen Wood: This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in itsbeauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for innersecurity."
