Ginnette Shahar Perera: "Never think that you are above anyone else in this world, everyone and everything on this planet has a purpose for existing"

BPP: Identity: Who you are? And who you really are?

Ginnette Shahar Perera: My name is Ginnette Shahar Perera, I am 49 years old I have degrees in Advertising Design, Interior Design as well as a Teaching License to teach Spanish in High School. Ginette Shahar Perera: My purpose in life is to share with others what I have to offer not only as a passionate entertainer but most important as a humble thankful human being. To respect everyone and everything on this beautiful and conflictive planet is not only uplifting but absolutely necessary in order to give peace a chance. To know or hear about people who achieve success in their lives truly makes me very happy but having compassion for those less fortunate and doing something about it to improve their quality of life warms my heart and fulfills my purpose in life.

BPP: If you could say something important you've learned all these years of your life, to the other people and they were able to listen to you, what would you like to tell them?

Ginnette Shahar Perera: Never think that you are above anyone else in this world, everyone and everything on this planet has a purpose for existing. There are those who make the right choices others who don’t and then there are those that unfortunately; for no fault of their own suffer endlessly.

If you are blessed by having a comfortable and healthy life; make sure you share your fortune with others who need you the most without expecting anything in return. If you have food on your table, shelter, clothing, wealth, love, compassion, health, talent or knowledge; never hesitate to share it. Whatever you possess share it; your life will have so much more meaning. Surround yourself with positive energy; and, always be humble and ready to recognize when you’re wrong; learn from your mistakes, always have a goal in mind and never stop until you reach it.

BPP: What is your real dream, the one that keeps you awake at nights and if one day it will come true, you will feel your heart calm and peacefull?

Ginnette Shahar Perera: My dream on a global level is for there to be no cruelty, prejudice, selfishness, hatred, crime or extreme poverty and hunger in the world. That every human being and animal be blessed by having others in their lives to care and love them unconditionally, that people be more conscientious about preservation and conservation of all living beings and nature on this earth.

That there be no wars amongst or within nations and let peace prevail. That there be cures for many life threatening diseases and that everyone respect each other’s thoughts beliefs and dreams. My dream on a personal level is to write a children’s book that I have had in mind for quite some time now, I already have the concept, characters and illustrations thought out, I just need to put it on paper! It’s amazing how answering a simple question like this can inspire so much motivation! I think pretty soon my dream will come true, when it happens I will let you all know.

BPP: How is life for the people in your country today? What do you wish to happen to them and to the people of this planet at large?

Ginnette Shahar Perera: At the time America is going through a big economic crisis as well as many countries in the world in which the cost of living is very hard for many hard working people. There are those that are lucky enough to have a job or own a business and are managing to survive and make ends meet. Unfortunately there are many that don’t and are unable to earn a good salary. I wish for people in America and throughout the world in general to have the opportunity to earn an honest living through hard work so they can invest for their future.

BPP: If you had the chance to be a child again, will you choose to do the same life you do?

Ginnette Shahar Perera: Absolutely, I might do things in a different order or give things more priority than others or even eliminate situations that come to mind right now that I probably would have been better off without, but; I would still choose the same life because I happen to be very happy with it and I truly believe that I have been blessed by having a wonderful family and great friends. I love dancing because through dance I can express a multitude of uplifting qualities such as; feelings, power, self expression, positive energy and originality while sharing who I really am with the whole world.

BPP: Which exactly was the moment you understood what you want to do in your life? How did you feel at this very moment?

Ginnette Shahar Perera: I have always had an interest for Visual and Performing Arts; hence the reason I studied Advertising and Interior Design. My calling for the Performing Arts came about 15 years ago when I had my fourth child. I had a house full of kids back then! Twin boys (now 25) an older daughter (22) and my youngest girl (15).

Being from Latin America I always had a passion for dance but I wanted to do something different that of the styles of dancing of my own culture which I grew up with. I have always believed that dancing is the best form of exercise and I wanted to try something new. The moment I took my first class I acquired a new passion for a beautiful art form which I have shared for many years with other beautiful people.

BPP: Something yours: Do you want to tell us something we didn't ask you until now?

Ginnette Shahar Perera:My Motto: Dance is like a prize share it with others and you will be rewarded!

There is nothing more rewarding for me as a performer to be able to share my knowledge of this beautiful art form with others so that they can also feel the joy and happiness of self expression that I feel every time I dance.
