BPP: Who are you? And who you really are?

Florian Doru Crihana: I was supposed to be an excellent shipbuilding engineer. During that occupation period, I discovered myself as a painter and contemporary society observer. Now I use any occasion – I mean exhibition - to show through my art the negative elements of human behavior.

BPP: If you could say something important to others who were listening, what would you tell them?

Florian Doru Crihana: “Hey young people! Go to fine-art-school only if you have something to tell to the world! Otherwise you must know that money from art comes after the age of 55.”

BPP: What is your true dream, the one that keeps you up at night and if one day it were to come true you would feel peace and calmness in your heart?

Florian Doru Crihana: My dream was to be displayed in a museum among the most famous artists of all time as Picasso or Dali. I succeeded. My dream was to have a monograph published in Western countries as Germany or France. I succeeded. Now I expect the World to say to me what can I do for it.

BPP: How is life currently for the people in your country and what would you wish for them and for the planet at large?

Florian Doru Crihana: People of my country live well. I wish them to stay close to the artists and discover together the Future… earlier. I wish the science to discover rapidly the way how humanity can leave behind computers.

BPP: If you had a chance to be a child again would you choose the same life?

Florian Doru Crihana:  I would choose the same wife. And this time, I would like life to choose for me what to do.

BPP: What was the exact moment that you realized what you wanted to do with your life? How did you feel at this very moment?

Florian Doru Crihana:  I realised immediately after my Engineer occupation debut, that I want to be an artist. I am satisfied now. Problems might come later, with age. I hope I will be able to look back into the past every day and say: “I did it!”
