BPP:  Who you are? And who you really are?

Nezih Yeşilnil: I am Nezih Yeşilnil, musician (contrabass & guitar player, arranger, composer, educator)   and i live in İstanbul / Turkey.

Nezih Yeşilnil: I am a musician who born with abilities such as hearing the music, performing, creating and sharing with people and try to live without losing the human qualifications. My purpose is to perform my music ultimately and create peace with the power of art.

BPP: If you could say something important you've learned all these years of your life, to the other people and they were able to listen to you, what would you like to tell them?

Nezih Yeşilnil: I think the social improvements are too slow while technological improvements gain speed. It’s like human beings are not evolving. The beauties of this planet are enough to have a welfare life; however we still deal with the problems such as wars and starving and meaninglessly struggle for the desire to lead the world and not to share.

BPP: What is your real dream, the one that keeps you awake at nights and if one day it will
come true, you will feel your heart calm and peaceful?

Nezih Yeşilnil: Hearing all the armies are extinguished in the morning news, both Obama and Ahmedi Nejad’s having a boat trip in Istanbul, children who don’t know the word “war” etc…

BPP: How is life for the people in your country today? What do you wish to happen to them at to the people of this planet at large?

Nezih Yeşilnil: I wish  them equitable income distribution, health services and speaking freely and with respect.

BPP: If you had the chance to be a child again, will you choose to do the same life you do?

Nezih Yeşilnil: Yes.

BPP: Which exactly was the moment you understood what did you want to do in your life? How
did you feel at his very moment?

Nezih Yeşilnil: I think after the first concert I had played bass at the age of 13-14. I felt a great joy and excitement.

BPP: Something yours: Do you want to tell us something we didn't ask you until now?

Nezih Yeşilnil: Why they still give awards to the war movies? Why don’t they censor crime scenes with guns in the movies, rather than cigarettes? Why should we live our lives for consumption and money? What is that thing we are not able to share in this beautiful planet?!
